Operation “Salmon comeback” and the symbolic voyage of the salmon return to Basel in Switzerland, was a success.

Organized by the NGO, a 4 meters salmon scrolled downtown Strasbourg (FR) , was the star on the information stand in Freiburg im Breisgau (DE) and went back up the Rhine in a solar boat to downtown Basel (CH).

The international group of activists (ERN-SOS Loire Vivante, Alsace Nature, BUND, RegioWasser and WWF Switzerland) who accompanied the trip informed the public and collected hundreds of signatures in support of the petition for the return of salmon in Basel in 2020.

12 000 signatures (paper and web) obtained were presented, in front of the cameras, to the representative of the French Minister just before the ministerial conference this Monday, October 28.
